Nirixan
The only known universe and the one you, dear reader, are from! Nirixan is thought to have existed for around 26.9 billion years, plus or minus about 200 million. The oldest legible records we have date back to about -6182 DR or 7,945 years ago. Strangely everything from -6183 DR or earlier seems to be quite damaged, making it very difficult to study anything before or soon after that year. Unfortunately no one seems to have any idea what could have caused this as all probable causes proposed have been disproven.
Some do believe that other universes could theoretically exist but studies are scarce as the network's board refuses to allocate funds to related projects. No one outside the network has come up with anything conclusive, so many things about our world are left uncertain.
"Anyone who still believes that living-corpse Faelana is a fool and a disgrace. You get a couple things right and everyone thinks you're a hero!" [Mockingly] "In centuries of research! Gods, sabbatical my-"
-President Eriks Goldthorn, 1732 DR
We do not endorce nor encourage using station funds, tools, or resources on unapproved projects. This goes against the network's constitution and employee contracts and may provoke reasonable punishment up to termination.
The Lyra Galaxy
While our home galaxy is called many names, most call it the Lyra galaxy. A satellite image taken in 1632 DR by the Bullet V3, can be seen here: The Lyra Galaxy.
The Lyra galaxy has existed for about 15.3 billion years. Our galaxy is a bit bigger than average at about 151,700 light years across.
